Recommended System Standards

• CD-ROM Drive
• Mouse or pointing device
• Laser or high-speed ink jet printer (optimum use when driver supports graphical printing)
• Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows NT 4 (service pack 5 or higher), Windows XP Home Edition or Professional with "Fast User Switching" disabled
• Minimum display 800 x 600, recommend 1024 x 768, High-Color (16 bit) or 65536 colors
• Internet Explorer v4.0 or higher (Internet Explorer v5.5 included on the Sage BusinessWorks Gold installation CD)
• Adobe Acrobat Reader v5.0 or higher (included on the Sage BusinessWorks Gold installation CD)

Note: Microsoft Windows XP operating system is currently supported for use with Sage BusinessWorks Gold, however testing for Microsoft Office XP (which includes the XP versions of Excel and Word) is underway and is scheduled to be completed by November 30, 2001.

Stand Alone Installation

• Pentium® 400mhz processor with 128 MB RAM (recommended)
• Pentium® 233mhz processor with 128 MB RAM (minimum)
• 200MB RAM free hard disk space

Sage BusinessWorks Gold for Workgroup (2 to 4 concurrent users)

Server Configuration

• Pentium® 500 mhz processor or faster recommended
• 128 MB (minimum), 256 MB or greater (recommended)
• 200 MB free hard disk space on the server (minimum)
• 10/100 MB NIC Card Operating at 100 MB/sec

Client Configuration

• Pentium® 400mhz processor with 128 MB RAM (recommended)
• Pentium® 233mhz processor with 128 MB RAM (minimum)
• 120MB free hard disk space on the client workstations
• For optimum performance, each workstation should have at least 25% hard disk space available after installation
• TCP/IP protocol loaded and working

Sage BusinessWorks Gold for CS (5 or more concurrent users)

System Notes:

• If operating with hardware that does not meet these suggested system standards, your operating performance may be adversely affected.
