Account Manager
Peter G. Kamay, an IT Professional with 18+ years of experience, has recently rejoined Verteks Consulting in the role of Account Manager/Consultant. Peter entered the IT industry in 1991 after graduating from University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. For the next ten years, Peter was responsible for managing the computer needs of small to medium sized businesses throughout Central Florida. In 2001, Peter joined Verteks Consulting, the premier IT consulting firm in North Central Florida. Peter’s responsibilities included managing and advising business accounts throughout Marion, Sumter, Alachua and Citrus counties.
In 2005 Peter left Verteks to join Highland Tractor Company in the role of IT Director. In his time at Highland Tractor, Peter successfully integrated eight satellite offices from Melbourne, FL to the Tampa/Palmetto area into Highland Tractor’s wide area network. As IT Director, Mr. Kamay implemented a more efficient, strategic network which not only increased performance and efficiency, but also generated over $100,000 in annual savings on their existing Data/Voice budget.
In 2010, Mr. Kamay rejoined Verteks Consulting, Inc. to utilize his experience as the IT Director of a multi-city network to help businesses throughout the region efficiently streamline and automate their existing processes. With the enhanced efficiency, these companies will be able to enjoy a more secure, reliable network, while at the same time having a manageable and predictable IT budget.
In addition to his experience in the IT industry, Peter Kamay is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist. Peter is also an experienced speaker and educator, having volunteered as an instructor for several business Computer User groups and additionally having held a position as a teacher at Withlacoochee Technical Institute.
Personally, Peter has been married for 18 years to Deborah Kamay and has 3 children – Saxon (Age 17), Alexa (Age 16) and Ariana (Age 13). Peter also is involved with Pug Rescue and cares for four fawn pugs.
