Citrus County Selects Verteks Consulting for County-Wide IP Phone System Project
Ocala-based Verteks wins a competitive bid to implement ShoreTel
Unified Communications and Enterprise Contact Center solutions.
Ocala, Fla. — May 15, 2015 — Verteks Consulting announced today that it has been selected by Citrus County, Fla., to implement ShoreTel Unified Communications and Enterprise Contact Center solutions. The ShoreTel platform will encompass more than 1,000 extensions, supporting critical functions county-wide and providing contact center capabilities for multiple departments and divisions.
The Citrus County Board of Commissioners approved the $675,000 purchase in a council meeting held on April 28, culminating a lengthy competitive bid process. Verteks will proceed with the project immediately.

The ShoreTel solution will replace the County’s aging Siemens phone system, providing state-of-the-art features and simplified administration. A key component of the solution is the ShoreTel Emergency Notification application, which will help the County improve emergency management and response through multi-level notifications, real-time communications and related functions.
